Read This Before You Sign A Track To Mojoheadz Records.

Mojoheadz Records are a small record label from Moscow who pretend to be a large label from Los Angeles. Mojoheadz Records prey on inexperienced artists by spamming their tracks on SoundCloud with comments saying they would like to sign them even though they have not actually listened to anything. If an artist responds they will be told they need to pay around $50 to cover mastering and promotion. If the artists do not know that this is not the way proper labels operate (or they are simply desperate to get a track released) and they go ahead with the payment they will then be asked to provide midi and audio stems of their track. This will be used to create a remix which sometimes bears little resemblance to the original. It is this remix that Mojoheadz release and the original artist does not usually get to hear it and give their approval before the release. The result is that most artists who release a track on Mojoheadz are not happy with the result and therefore do nothing in the way of promoting their singles.

Mojoheadz release four or five tracks every week, almost all by previously unheard-of artists. Since it is clear that, despite all the mentions of “our team” on his website, Mojoheadz Records is a one-man operation that is quite a good income if he’s getting $50 per track.
